How common is it for women to pretend they wear a smaller shoe size?
As a guy, I wear a men's 10.5. That equals women's 11.5 to 12. Recently I've compared feet with some attractive, trim women shorter than me that measure 5'8" to 5'10" tall. These girls claimed to wear 9.5 to 10 shoes, and their open-toes were indeed around size 10. But their feet were as long as mine, albeit much narrower. What gives? These girls must be lowballing their foot size. Are size 11 and 12 female feet much more common than reported?
A lot of the times, girls like tighter shoes than guys. Since girls wear shoes that are a lot likelier to fall off (flats, heels, etc. shoes that don't have laces) most of us want shoes that fit snugly and won't keep flapping off of our heels (which can scrape and hurt!).
