LGBT: Do you think people would be more insensitive if they actually knew someone personal who is gay?
Do you think that people would actually open their eyes and minds to see what the world is coming to? Would we receive our rights - more so, would it progress at a faster pace?
Do you think if someone was in the same boat or shoes - your pick - they'd be more understanding?
TIA for your answers.
Yeah, definitely. If EVERYONE admitted that they were gay, people would be sooo accepting (i think). Most people have a gay family member/friend, and they don't even know it. But if everyone recognized that they have someone close to them who is gay, they would be more accepting. And the stereotypes would die down too. As we know, there are plenty of masculine "straight acting" gay guys, but a lot of times they don't come out. So if they came out, then people would begin to change their perspective.
